Garden Simplicity

I create formal and informal gardens of all sizes ranging from small north-facing town gardens through to large country houses, contemporary or traditional.

Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show 2004

A Regency town house garden compares with the contemporary urban garden; demonstrating social and lifestyle changes

Terraced Garden

Country House

With careful thought and positive planting year round interest can be acheived creating colourful effects
A terraced garden which had the added issues of the site being on a cross-fall down the hill and towards the house

Secluded Seating Area

The formally disused area was designed to complement the existing wall.

Sunny Seating Area

Smooth planned railway sleepers were used to create a site to enjoy the morning sun, the geometric lines complementing those on the already existing decking.

Productive Garden

The raised beds were created to provide the client with both a seating in the sun and an area to grow a selection of fruit and vegetables

Shaded Garden

A garden heavily shaded by neighbouring trees transformed by circular sandstone paving and suitable planting for the site.

New Planting Beds

Within the large lawn area in this beautiful garden, planting beds were created to plant specimen trees, structural evergreens and hardy perennials.

Town Garden

The client requested a year round usable space to entertain whilst exhibiting pockets of plants that provide year round interest.

Wildlife Garden at Wanstead High School

A Breathing Spaces Lottery Funded garden providing access paths for the students and for the wildlife food and habitats.

Family Garden

This family garden has a contemporary feel, with minimalist planting with selected architectural forms.
